Q: What is your advice on checking accounts for when you get married? I’d like to keep my own checking account, as well as have a joint account. What’s the best way for me to discuss this with my spouse?

Your food cost will take up most of your budget but shouldn't exceed 40 percent. Many brides fall in love with a catering hall and then have to hire the cheapest photographer they can find. Try and keep all of your vendors on the same level of quality.
