Writers' Guidelines
Identity—Accept • Appreciate • Achieve is an online publication covering health, wellness, and real-life issues that everyday women face every day. Before you pitch a story to us, we recommend you read through our current issue online to get acquainted with the type of relatable, conversational, reliable, and real style of writing we embrace.
Identity is published 3 times a year online and includes both research-based and real-life experience feature articles (800 to 1500 words), short research and/or opinion-based health, fitness, nutrition, and general wellness articles (400 to 800 words), and various other reader submissions for sections appearing in every issue such as “Nobody’s Perfect,” “Identity’s Most Wanted,” and “It’s the Little Things…” (usually less than 500 words). We occasionally post book reviews. We never post fiction, fashion, or celebrity profiles/gossip.
Identity welcomes story pitches that suit our editorial mix. We ask freelancers to submit query letters in writing by emailing us at
. We do not pay freelancers at this time, however, a complimentary 1-year subscription is given to freelancers if their article is chosen to appear in an issue of Identity along with them added to our contributors section.
Thank you for your interest in Identity—Accept • Appreciate • Achieve
Identity will contact you if we decide to add your submission to Identity.
Thank you!
