As a preface, let me state that making mistakes is a natural part of your human existence. However, the quantity of blunders can be greatly diminished as a result of thorough preparation, collaboration and research.
The depth of your experience will provide you with an internal wealth of wisdom applicable to future business opportunities and challenges. It is important to value each lesson life decides to teach on your path to greatness.
What is the fiery passion behind your desire to start a business? It is paramount that you understand your WHY beyond a superficial level. There will be thunderous times of testing that cause you to question whether or not the current pain is worth the future gain.
The beauty in taking a leap of faith is often discovered in the countless adventures you are privileged to encounter. I remember at the end of 2006, deciding that I wanted to travel out of the country. Although, not knowing how it was going to happen; I prepared for it. With each step forward ultimately, I found myself in Bangkok, Thailand participating in an International Women in Leadership Conference. It was one of the most exhilarating moments of my entrepreneurial excursions to date! Before you can SEIZE it, you must be able to SEE it!
The bottom line definition of an entrepreneur is one who is willing to assume responsibility for the final outcome of a calculated risk taken, whether positive or negative. The question becomes what mental excuses are you allowing to hold your potential hostage, under lock and key?
