New Day, New Year

Yes, life may change you, and you should never stop allowing it to. However, never ever doubt for a second that you are not exactly where you are meant to, and need to be.

Yes, life may change you, and you should never stop allowing it to. However, never ever doubt for a second that you are not exactly where you are meant to, and need to be.

If you ask me, I will say to you, life remains empty in the absence of its truths. I can put your mind at ease; if what you want is the only thing that you see, you’ll never find life’s key. To open the lock, all you need to do is believe.

Life is not a fairytale, unless you make it one, and dreams cannot come true unless you will them to. If you find yourself wondering why the world can be so cruel, it’s because you still can’t see the beauty surrounding you.

A  new day on its way. In tomorrow’s hand  rests fate.  Raise the palms of your hands to the  sky, as the droplets melt upon your skin, allow them to  trickle down, remain for a brief moment, then leave you to fall to the ground, and disappear from all trace.

Don’t you see, it’s easier when you are brave and face your fears head on?

Thank what has brought you here.

Thank what has brought you here.

Yes, life may change you, and you should never stop allowing it to. However, never ever doubt for a second that you are not exactly where you are meant to, and need to be.

New can be scary.  Not knowing what may transpire from acting on the desire to fulfill your cravings, to get a taste of what it means to live will further complicate itself  when you cannot  predict the outcomes  of your choices.

Take the chance anyway. Life is all about choice. Choose to let your guard down; it’s how you let everything and everyone in. And by bathing in the knowledge of every experience? You now hold the power  to wash away what was yesterday, and keep living for today.  A mistake does not exist until  the outcome  reveals itself.

With each great mistake, comes a new path to take, and with each pain in life opens doors to do right. Opportunities pass, desires may fade, but what comes back around you see, is what stays.

Your life is an inspirational gold mine. When you are drowning in the storm, masking your vision of the outside world, that is when you will never see the world more clearly, and when you will never feel more alive. For you are drawn and attracted to the light that can infallibly brighten, when it all seems dismal. What you crave, and what lifts your soul from the pits of despair, at the crossfire between what you think about and what you truly desire, is where you will forever find happiness.

Why do we keep seeking when we had this happiness all along? Sometimes, being blinded by life, and to the outside world can be beneficial, for it leaves

Learn to refer back to the world that you find within yourself. That is the world that you can always call your home.

Learn to refer back to the world that you find within yourself. That is the world that you can always call your home.

you with no choice but to refer back to the world that you find within yourself. That world will never lie, never cheat, never make you feel inferior. That world, will  never leave you. Although it may collect cobwebs if not attended to, and it may be burried by the wreckage left from the last whirlwind of woes and troubles, it can never be erased.

So as you go out and seek more knowledge, new experience,  and new aspects of life  that allow and encourage  your passions to flourish, find comfort in the fact that your foundation will forever remain intact. Even if your roots are briefly uprooted, they can rejuvenate  within the ground from which you once originated.

Lucky for us, we do not wilt as flowers do at uprooting. Instead, we find   a new setting to blossom in.   The ground from which we flourished will  forever remain  our foundation.   There is forever  comfort in the security that if we ever feel all is lost, there is a place to always call home.

Go out and seek if you feel life  has lost  the luster that it once possessed, but always remember, experience can only make you flourish if you remain truthful to the grounds on and from which your existence and entire being was built on. That is the only way you will ever truly learn what it means to life for you.

Never forget your roots.

Never forget your roots.

Hey pretty girl, don’t you cry.

Gotta use that smile, when everything is crumbling inside.

The world may push you but everything will be alright.

I know you’re scared, but you gotta keep that fight.

For I’m betting on you tonight, play it right and I’ll be your prize.

All deals are off, rules need not apply.

I’m dealing out my deck tonight, as the chips fall where they may.

I’ll keep my faith, where it lands it seals my fate.

Gotta keep living for me, keep my head up so I can see.

I’ve got the power to wipe it clean, washing it over me.

Every pain that I’ve been dealt, can’t erase what I have felt.

I learn from my life, and who I’m meant to be.

Hey good girl, I know you see through tired eyes.

You try to understand, why you are surrounded by these lies.

Life may scar you but everything will be just fine.

I know you’re tempted, but you gotta keep that pride.

Gotta keep living for me, keep my head up so I can see.

I’ve got the power to wipe it clean, washing it over me.

Every pain that I’ve been dealt, can’t erase what I have felt.

I learn from my life, and who I’m meant to be.

That feeling when, it takes your breath right out from your soul.

That moment when a light shines through the haze.

That burning certainty knowing that it may wash over you…

but that’s okay. I’m learning to accept these days.

It may not work out. Learn to accept, and keep marching forward, for life will be born again at the rise of the sun.

Identity Magazine is all about empowering women to get all A’s in the game of life — Accept. Appreciate. Achieve.TM Every contributor and expert answer the Identity 5 questions in keeping with our theme. As a team, we hope to inspire and motivate ourselves and inspire you to get all A’s.

What have you accepted within your life, physically and/or mentally? What are you still working on accepting?

Sometimes life is going to give you lessons that you wish you never had to learn.   Those lessons however, are what make you so strong.   They temporarily cripple you, yes, but in comparison to how they can expand the possibilities of life? They are just  a grain  that is washed away when the next wave comes.

What have you learn to appreciate about yourself and/or within your life, physically and mentally? What are you still working on to appreciate?

I appreciate my health,   and I have learned to not take it for granted. A healthy life is truly a happy one. 🙂

What is one of your most rewarding achievements in life? What makes YOU most proud? What goals and dreams do you still have?

My goal is to continue to inspire others through my story.   I will never hide in shame because of where I came from.   I remain truthful in both my writing and in my every day life.

We all have imperfections, so we think. The truth–we are all perfectly imperfect. What are your not-so-perfect ways? What imperfections and quirks create who you are–your Identity?

My not so perfect ways? I see the world in the big picture. I tend not to be too detail oriented, which at times can overwhelm me when I realize I am committed to so many things.   However, if the goal still remains clear in my mind, all it takes is a few more cups of coffee to find the inspiration to succeed :D.

“I Love My…” is an outlet for you to express and appreciate all the positive traits that make you…well… YOU! Sharing what you love about yourself will make you smile, feel empowered, and uplift your spirit and soul. (we assure you!)

Identity challenges you to complete the phrase “I Love My…?

I love my blunt, fearless  honesty.   A life lived in honesty is the only one worth living.
