People can dictate to you an incredible amount of ways to find the true love of your life. They believe only the insight they provide you with to be true; beliefs can stem from one’s sight and experience, forming their perception. What I’m telling you today is to realize these many stories will never dictate your love story; they only exist to further emphasize that everyone’s story is different.
Love is unique. Just because it worked for someone, doesn’t mean it will work for you. Or just because it didn’t work out for someone, doesn’t mean the same actions will not result in your favor.
The only guaranteed way to find the true love of your life is to follow your own heart, for there is a reason why it is yours.
You may not be able to choose who holds it, but you can decide who is worthy of your efforts and time investment. This decision can only be made based on your idea of true love, not another’s.
When it comes to not accepting, but embracing, who you are meant to be with, always remember: the people in your life who are truly meant to be there, will challenge you.
In fact, at times your feelings for them may even seem to drive you
crazy. Everyone reaches a point in their life where nothing truly makes sense, where everything that you once believed in is challenged, and you must accept what you can’t change or control.
Although the outside world seems hazy, your feelings for who is meant to be in your life? Well that is the only thing that will forever remain clear. That’s how you know that you are in love, and that’s how you know who is meant for you.
I believe that you know what your future will be the instant you lay eyes upon it. The question is, will you allow yourself to remain vulnerable for when it is ready to come your way?
Sure, different forms of happiness do exist. Yes, you can certainly be happy on your own, but I believe complete happiness can only be obtained by having special people in your life.
The path may be rocky and slippery on the road to discovery, new adventures, taking chances, and truly living, and can be truly terrifying. When you feel so consumed by the passion, absorbing thoughts, self doubts, fear, and the opinions that others are feeding to you just remember: Anything worth keeping is worth fighting for.
If you cannot go a day without thinking about someone, they are worth your fight.
Life will forever remain empty in the absence of its truths; love is how to find that truth.
However, I believe you will only find what you are meant to fight for when life gives you something to fight for. When you ask for strength, life gives you something to be strong for. When you ask for bravery, life throws at you obstacles where you must dive into the unknown, sending fear of rejection to its grave.
When you ask for love? Sometimes it’s not necessarily found in seeking new, sometimes finding love is just as simple as listening to your heart, for you will find that it never once falters. It may have taken time to accept where true love can be found due to fear’s inhibiting effect, but it was always there, and will remain.
Sometimes, all it takes is a little faith, and a whole lot of trust in what you believe to be true. For without our beliefs, we will never find our happiness, for life has the capability to be whatever we believe it to be.
And love? Well I believe it is the key to creating purpose, and my purpose was not found until I surrendered to the power of love.
Question is, will you?
A love that leaves her breathless, consuming her body and her mind, leaving her speechless, yet absorbed with an array of thoughts which she fails to process into words, hiding behind pages of her own script.
Thoughts scribbled on paper when in solitude, for her nerves are occupied by chills, ignited by his gentle, yet powerful touch.
A contact which conveys vast amounts of desire in a single gesture.
A passion that sets flame to a soul that has been burnt before, and afraid to once again become kindled by another catalyst, in fear of quenching the thirst driven by the sole source that has fed her entire period of growth.
For once such a love is taken in, and her unyielding thirst becomes satisfied, to release it once more may extinguish every and all potential flames to come.
However, she must put her trust in the only one that has enabled this flame to burn for so long, to simmer in the splendor of life, making even the ordinary exchanges of life seem extraordinary.
She must put her faith that this flame is her flame now, and that this spark is only the beginning of her future flame.
She must put her trust in her own heart.
The day he departed from her life was the day that true romance ceased to exist.
It was the day that everything she believed in became twisted, the death of her faith in not a soul mate, but a spiritual master.
In his absence, time seemed frozen.
For there are many others who we can pair with, that cross our paths to show us we can find a likeness in them, a connection.
However, there is only one that holds the power to break this connection and form an everlasting, unconditional bond, and this belief was not only revisited, but reprogrammed into her intuition, finally, releasing the cobwebs and self doubt it was once infected with.
For he is living proof that miracles can happen if you have the courage to pursue them.
He is her piece of heaven on this earth, and not a day has gone by that she ever doubted that it was real.
Now that she has him back, she is not loosening her grasp, she is not letting go of the rope, she is sending fear to its grave, burying it so deep that it is no longer welcome to arise from the past.
She is welcoming the future.
A released love refound time and time again; this time, she is not leaving it to be found. For she knows what she needs; she has identified that silence and absence are the ultimate drivers of doubt.
However, that doubt leaves her the moment she steps in front of him. That moment, is the moment when it all becomes worth the struggle. That moment is the defining moment.
That moment? Decided that she made the right choice to never let go. Ever again.
The only thing she is ever allowed to let go of again is fear, for she found her love.
You are my truth. And not a day can go by that I regret the almost unbearably long, rocky road that we have been on, for it led me to you.
And you?
You’re worth it all.
My vision may have been clouded, but I’ve discovered that maybe, I’ve known the answers all along.
Life isn’t about finding. Life, love, and happiness are about welcoming.
And now I can say with relief, and the utmost happiness, welcome home.
Identity Magazine is all about empowering women to get all A’s in the game of life — Accept. Appreciate. Achieve.TM Every contributor and expert answer the Identity 5 questions in keeping with our theme. As a team, we hope to inspire and motivate ourselves and inspire you to get all A’s.
What have you accepted within your life, physically and/or mentally? What are you still working on accepting?
I have learned to accept that the past is the past for a reason. I have allowed that reason to empower me to seek more. Although it is difficult to try to understand why people experience pain and hardship, the outcome of growth that arises from disaster’s ruins is this reason.
What have you learn to appreciate about yourself and/or within your life, physically and mentally? What are you still working on to appreciate?
I am learning to appreciate my selflessness when it comes to the way I love another person. Although others criticize, at the end of the day, you are the one that lives with your decisions. You are the one that is in charge of your own happiness. The day I pushed other people’s opinions aside and followed my heart was the day that I finally experienced what it is to be truly happy. There is no way I am turning back.
What is one of your most rewarding achievements in life? What makes YOU most proud? What goals and dreams do you still have?
My most rewarding achievement is my music and my poetry, and the amount of lives I have touched from my self-expression. It is a both rewarding and fulfilling passion that I will forever continue to pursue.
We all have imperfections, so we think. The truth–we are all perfectly imperfect. What are your not-so-perfect ways? What imperfections and quirks create who you are–your Identity?
My quirk is that sometimes I fall behind on responsibilities due to the overwhelming amount of opportunity that life has provided for me. However, life truly is about prioritizing. We are all human, and should always remember this whenever we begin to criticize what we have failed to complete on the to do list.
“I Love My…” is an outlet for you to express and appreciate all the positive traits that make you…well… YOU! Sharing what you love about yourself will make you smile, feel empowered, and uplift your spirit and soul. (we assure you!)
Identity challenges you to complete the phrase “I Love My…?”
I love who I am. For once, I live in the center of my own spot light..and I don’t predict that going away any time soon.
