I Invite You

Are you ready to deepen, strengthen and increase your health and wellness?

My Story

Hey, hey, hey. Susan Vernicek here. Thank you for stopping by and watching this video. If you’re watching this video, then I’m going to assume that you’re interested in energizing your mind, body, and spirit, and soul, and, and life. Okay? So, stick with me. I wanna share, I wanna let you in on who I am, a little bit of my background in this short video.

So, my name is Susan Vernicek, and I run this digital magazine, Identity Magazine. I’ve been running this magazine for a decade and it constantly evolves. I constantly evolve and grow. And this year, which is 2017, I’m expanding my brand and now stepping deeper into helping others with health and wellness, taking everything that I’ve known since I was a little girl from playing soccer, playing sports all my life, playing college sports, working with trainers, and reading all the content and resources on Identity Magazine, connecting with experts, and learning the ins and outs of health and fitness.

What I bring to the table is simple, manageable tactics, tools, systems, processes to helping you shift and grow and deepen your energy, strengthen your energy, and really stepping into your true identity.

Right?

My whole mission is helping you discover your power of self-acceptance, appreciation, and personal achievement.

Now, I come from a family of a non-traditional family. I’m the youngest of seven. My parents are 28 years apart. My father was 87 when he passed away about three years ago. I come from drug abuse, alcohol abuse, infidelity, verbal abuse. I’ve had siblings killed from drug overdoses, another hit by car in New York City. So, uh, we had a lot of tragedy in my family.

I myself had an intervention when I was in college for drinking.  At the time I wasn’t in a healthy relationship and I know that my drinking was out of hand. I’m so lucky and blessed that I had that intervention, because now I can enjoy a glass of wine, or two, or three without getting out of control and getting mean and nasty. So, there’s a quick snippet of my background and who I am. As you dive deeper into the magazine, or connect with me on social media, you’ll learn more along the way, (if you’re interested).

And at the age of 25 I started my online business because I wanted to create a safe place for women to embrace who they were, flaws and all, to be perfectly imperfect and to strive to be their best.

And so, I’m here to invite you to join me and to join my community, collaborate, let me support you if you need accountability when it comes to health and fitness.

So, if you’re interested in, becoming active, a little bit more active, I invite you to join my monthly challenges. I am a BeachBody coach and I have found a phenomenal coach myself and a community to hold ourselves accountable– for getting in activity every day.

With BeachBody, they have an all new full-on access, 24/7, anywhere you go, from any device, live streaming.

I’ll be working out in my living room and end up in my bedroom, because I need to get away from my kids. So I invite you to join this part of my brand, my journey, my way of supporting you and getting a little bit closer.

I have been active all my life. I come from an athletic background, playing soccer. I am also married to a Division II college soccer coach, so I’m very familiar and engaged with health and fitness.

I’ve had a major setback.

In the end of 2016 to most recently, I had a lower back injury due to being a mom of two-and-a-half-year-old twins — and a lot of it is picking them up, bath time, the cribs, the Pack-n-Play — even paying attention to knowing how to use my body strength to lift these kids up.

You know, when you’re in the moment, and it’s just, it’s just very challenging to do everything properly all the time. And I ended up injuring my lower back, where I was not allowed to work out, do any activity, um, just until a few weeks into the new year.

I was out for a few months, doing physical therapy, and now I’m down to once a week with physical therapy. And so, and in the past two weeks, I have finally been able to start implementing push-ups and planks and ,really starting to build my strength and fitness again.

I wanna share with you that the importance of your physical health. isn’t. I know that I’m recovering from an injury, and I get a lot of emails from those who are recovering from injury as well. And there are exercises that I’m sure you’re able to do that won’t affect your injury, if you have one. And so I want to, I can’t stress enough that you can do what you can do, get moves approved by your doctor or therapist.

For the past few weeks, I’ve only allowed to do planks and push-ups, and a little bit of modification movement, and that’s okay. I might not be breaking a sweat or I don’t feel like it’s, you know, an awesome workout, but I’m moving every day, and I’m creating a daily habit of getting active and strengthening my discipline. Right? Discipline and habits will create mental results, physical results.

It will create continued motivation because you’re taking control.

You’re choosing to say ‘yes.’ You’re choosing to improve. You’re choosing to evolve. You’re choosing to grow.

You’re choosing to stay active the best that you know how at any level that you’re at, and that’s the whole point of living our journeys … Right? … is to feel good and be energized, be able to get through our day, thrive through our day  without being in pain or without being sluggish or without feeling like crap, or feeling tired.

And it all starts with saying ‘yes’ and finding accountability, finding resources, finding support, finding friends, whoever that may be. And so I invite you.

If you’re looking for, um, a support, accountability buddy, a coach, I would love to support you.
