Your life is chaotic, and it’s totally out of control. You are feeling crazy as your life has no balance and joy. It’s time to breathe.
It’s something we hear and experience every day. There is so much to do, and you have so little time. It seems impossible to be balanced and free.
The key to solving this puzzle is to live simply.
Simplicity brings balances and makes your life awesome. It allows you to set clear targets and focus only on the essential things for a joyful lifestyle. Try these seven ways to simplify your life and achieve balance.
7 Easy Ways to Simplify Your Life and Breathe
1- Plan your life and set clear targets
Consider what’s important in your life. What are the things that matter the most to you? What are the goals that you should focus on for a prosperous and secure future?
Set clear priorities and goals by answering these questions. Then, make a roadmap to get where you want to be at a certain point in your life. Last, make sure you set a lot of milestones so that you keep achieving something every week in your life.
Be sure you set smart goals in your life. They should be relevant and time-bound. You should be able to measure the progress, and your goals should be attainable. Write down your goals so that you can feel them as something tangible.
2- Create a powerful morning routine
Morning rituals set your mood for the entire day. A healthy and powerful morning routine will have many of the following activities.
Exercise
Exercise is an important morning ritual that helps you condition your body early in the day. The result is a day full of energy, joy, and performance. The long-term benefits of regular exercise include improved health, stronger immune system, and longevity.
To exercise, you don’t have to hit a gym. You can buy simple home exercise equipment such as Maxi Climber Workout for a full-body workout at home. It takes minimal space on the floor so you can put it somewhere in your bedroom.
Drink something healthy
Drinking something healthy such as lemon water or fresh juice helps your body with a burst of antioxidants and energy.
Read something or meditate
Many people find reading a great way to start their morning. If reading isn’t your thing, try meditation. A quick meditation session in the morning will help you improve focus and influence positive thinking.
Others morning rituals that could empower your day are below.
- Enjoy a healthy breakfast
- Look into the mirror
- Call someone you haven’t talked to in a while
- Smile at yourself
3- Complain less, thank more
One of the easiest ways to simplify your life is to appreciate more and complain less. When you complain a lot, you stop looking at the brighter side of things. If you think prices of meat are too high, think about eating less meat instead of complaining all the times.
Thanking more instead of complaining gives you a lot of personal power. You are happy, and you learn to smile.
4- Take a break from electronic media
Internet, social media and TV are always there with you. If you are not watching the TV, then you are probably using a laptop or doing something on your phone. It’s important to take a break from the media and the internet. Learn to unplug.
You can meditate, read, do yoga, or simply watch birds in a park. Just disconnect yourself from media for a few minutes, and you will become more energetic and peaceful. You will learn to live more in the present, and you will benefit from improved mental health.
5- Create a to-do list to start your day
If you want to simplify your life, you have to start by organizing it. To-do lists help you identify what’s important. They also improve your focus.
Write down five most important things that you need to do that day to start making an effective to-do list. Then sort the list according to the importance of each of these tasks. Write them down in order of priority. The tasks on top should be the ones that have long-term rewards, followed by tasks that have short-term benefits only.
When you write down important tasks each day, you attain more focus in your daily life. You realize what is essential at the beginning of a day. It leaves a huge impact on how you spend rest of your day.
6- Simplify your relationships
Your life doesn’t have space for all those toxic relationships. Get rid of them so that you can focus on the relationships that are important for you.
By ditching the people who bring you down, you find more time to thank those who help you in your life. You have more time and space for healthier relationships that will fill your life with meaning and joy.
7- Love what you have and practice to ‘want’ less
A simple life doesn’t have to be free of all desires. It’s human nature to desire for more, and you have every right to benefit from the technology that humans have developed.
However, you should learn to love what you have and limit your desires only to essentials. Want less and express gratitude for your life. You have everything you need to live your life. Practice this, and you will have a joyful life.
Just breathe.

1. What have you accepted within your life, physically and/or mentally? What are you still working on accepting?
I thank my blessings every day and have accepted that everything happens for a reason. I am on my current path because of certain choices I’ve made in my life, and it is the right road for me. I’m learning to accept that certain things are beyond my control.
2. What have you learn to appreciate about yourself and/or within your life, physically and mentally? What are you still working on to appreciate?
I’ve learned to appreciate the importance of slowing down and taking each moment as it comes. I’m still working on trying to appreciate the hustle and bustle of city life.
3. What is one of your most rewarding achievements in life? And what makes YOU most proud? What goals and dreams do you still have?
My most rewarding achievement has been the balance I’ve found between family, work and time for myself. I’m proud that I’m able to pursue my passion for writing in addition to doing other things. My goal is to be a small business owner one day.
4. We all have imperfections, so we think. The truth–we are all perfectly imperfect. What are your not-so-perfect ways? What imperfections and quirks create who you are–your Identity?
I’m an introvert, and live in my own little bubble sometimes. So I tend to be oblivious to the problems of the people around me.
5. “I Love My…” is an outlet for you to express and appreciate all the positive traits that make you…well… YOU! Sharing what you love about yourself will make you smile, feel empowered, and uplift your spirit and soul. (we assure you!) Identity challenges you to complete the phrase “I Love My…?”
I love my ability to stay positive and look for the silver lining in any situation.
