I feel privileged to be able to live my dream every single day of my life. Here is my journey to living my AMERICAN DREAM

DREAM

I was fortunate to have a memorable and nurturing childhood with my Mom and Dad in India. Growing up in a large family, everyone was there for each other in happiness and sorrows. After losing my Dad in my teenage years, I was blessed to receive love, care, and support from my Mom, grandparents, uncles, aunts, and cousins. They have made an everlasting difference in my life.

It has been my childhood dream to pay it forward and make a difference in peoples’ lives.

LOVE

As an inquisitive student, I value education, learning, and growing. I have always had the love and passion for Science, Math, Arts, and inventing formulas from an early age. After receiving my Bachelors in Science (BS) from Northeastern University, I decided to pursue my Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Regis University.

Life seemed to take a predictable road for me of gradually climbing the corporate ladder, which I am profoundly grateful for and cherish.

PASSION

I felt that there was more to my life than what I was living. I was lucky to get the support from my loved ones who always encouraged me to pursue my dreams. With my interest in science and skin care, I decided to change my career path from corporate world to be a licensed skin care therapist.

In addition, a post-graduate certification in skin care and massage therapy. I was certified in anatomical education with various methods of lymphatic drainage, in order to properly treat facials and massages, with an understanding of how each parts of our face, ears, hands, back, and feet are connected to our organs.

PERSEVERANCE

I was shaken to the core when I lost my mom unexpectedly in 2008. She was my rock. Her life story has always been a huge inspiration to me. After I lost my father in teenage years, my mom moved to the United States to pursue the American Dream for her kids. Starting with nothing, we built a home in the United States.

She always found joy and fulfillment in giving and helping others regardless of her own circumstances. A year later in 2009, I was blessed to have a baby girl, who gave me a new purpose and meaning to my life.

“From the Heart of my daughter and Soul of my mom, Heart & Soul Spa was born.”

COURAGE

My faith gave me the courage to start my Heart & Soul Spa. As the foundation of the spa is based on two women, I see and support women. My dream of increasing the confidence of my clients, by prolonging a youthful glow and the ability to love their skin, led me to innovate with my facial and massage formulas.

That’s when I started using my own hand-crafted skin care products, made with Certified Organic, natural ingredients to give facials and massages to my clients. My clients, who are my biggest supporters, loved my products and encouraged me to come out with my facial line of oils, bath & body massage oil, exfoliation, & mask, in order to touch all lives.

Unique

My skin care products are Unique as my facial oils are 5 in 1 – make up remover, cleanser, toner, serum, and moisturizer. My 5 in 1 bath and body massage oil is for body, hair, nails, hands, and feet, and my buffmask is 2 in 1 – exfoliation and mask. Your daily skin care needs can be met with only three products.

Also, all products are inspired from my Indian Heritage, non-comedogenic and made for various ages and all skin types.

These products are Special as they are hand-crafted in the Unites States, made with high quality 100% Certified Organic, natural, plant-based ingredients. They are vegan, non-GMO, gluten-free, and hospital/medical grade. All products are free of cruelty, chemical fillers, parabens, alcohol, formaldehyde, and synthetic fragrances/dyes/colors/additives. These are my authentic products.

Lastly, for me, the meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to accomplish the meaning.

Identity Magazine is all about guiding women to discover their powers of Self-Acceptance, Appreciation, and Personal Achievement. We ask that every contributor and expert answer  the Identity 5 questions in keeping with our theme. Their answers can be random and in the moment or they can be aligned with the current article they have written. In that way, and as a team, we hope to encourage and motivate each other, thus inspiring you to Get All A’s.

1. What have you accepted within your life, physically and/or mentally? Additionally, what are you still working on accepting? Now, we’re talking about resignation, rather stepping into, embraced, and owned.

I have accepted that life is short and unpredictable.  It is important to cherish every breath we take and live in the moment.  I had a wonderful childhood in India.  However, in my early teenage years my dad passed away, and we came to the United States to follow our American Dream and we built a home here. My mom was my rock, my mentor, and my best friend, all in one, and suddenly she passed away in 2008; and I hit my rock bottom.  However, a year later in 2009, I was blessed with a baby girl, who gave me new purpose and meaning to my life.

I am learning to accept that losing your loved ones will leave a void for a very long time.  The best way to fill the void is to follow in their footsteps and keep their legacy alive.

2. What have you learned to appreciate about yourself and/or within your life, physically and mentally? On the other hand OR in contrast, are there elements of who you are that you’re still working on appreciating?

I have learnt that I am grittier than I care to admit.  Also, my most joyful moment is when I see a smile on the face of someone I was able to help.

My mom found joy and fulfillment in helping others regardless of her own circumstances.  I hit rock bottom when I lost my mom.  To keep her legacy alive I decided to follow in her footsteps of giving and helping others.  So, from the “Heart” of my daughter and “Soul” of my mom, Heart & Soul Spa was born and Heart & Soul mission was created.

Heart & Soul mission is to allow you to love your skin, grow your confidence and reach your true meaning and purpose in life.  This is my way of giving back to you.

I am learning to appreciate my journey over time to reach my own purpose in life.  Having my business driven by purpose is the first step to that journey.

3. What is one of your most rewarding achievements in life? Tell us not only what makes YOU most proud but also share the  goals and dreams that you still have.

My most rewarding achievement is to be able to get up when I was knocked down after my mom’s death and start my Heart & Soul Spa.  With my spa, I started formulating my own skin care products and started selling them.  My Indian heritage encouraged me to formulate my skin care product line made with organic, natural, plant-based, ingredients; and they are vegan, gluten free, non-GMO; free of: chemical fillers, parabens, alcohol, and synthetic additives/colors/dyes/fragrances.

With my Heart & Soul products and services, I am able to follow in my mom’s footstep and help others love their skin, grow their confidence and achieve their true meaning and purpose in life.  As I am the manufacturer and distributer of my skin care products, I am proud to sell them, directly to you, at a reasonable cost.  Since my daughter and my mom are the foundation of Heart & Soul, and by being a part of Heart & Soul community, you are being a part of something bigger, helping me see and hire more women, by supporting and mentoring them to live their life with more confidence.

My goal and dream is to see my high quality Heart & Soul products becoming an essential part of daily skincare regimen in every household.

4. Of course, we all have imperfections, or so we think. In truth, we are all perfectly imperfect. What are your not-so-perfect ways?  Likewise, what imperfections and quirks create who you are–your Identity?

My attention to details and my passion for perfection are important elements of my identity.

5. “I Love My…” is an outlet for you to appreciate and express all the positive traits that make you…well…YOU! In fact, sharing what you love about yourself will make you smile, feel empowered, and uplift your spirit and soul. (We assure you!) Therefore, Identity challenges you to complete the phrase “I Love My…?”

I love myself and what I am able to offer to others.  In addition, I believe that we all are born with a gift, and my gift is to start my Heart & Soul Spa, invent my own skin care formulas, and to allow you to love your skin and grow your confidence.

I LOVE LIVING MY AMERICAN DREAM everyday.
