Not all beauty products and accessories are glamorous. Some are basic needs – foundation, blush, a good facial cleanser – that most women always have on hand.
Other things, like a signature scent or black pumps, are outdated clichés. If they work for you and make you happy, that’s great, but they probably don’t need to be on a list of must-haves.
Everyone is different, and that includes their aesthetic. A list that tells you to buy a little black dress when you don’t wear dresses ever is a waste of money, not a fashion epiphany. This list is different.
Here are the beauty items that every stylish woman needs, whatever your look.
One Outfit That Makes You Feel Amazing
The first thing on the list is an outfit that makes you feel terrific. Make sure that you have a dress, suit or another outfit that makes you smile when you look in the mirror.
Whether you are going to a job interview, out on a date, meeting “the parents,” or receiving a professional award, you need something to wear that helps you feel confident.
A Pair of Shoes You Are Proud to Wear
Shoes are important, too. When you love fashion, it can be easy to get caught up in fast fashion solutions. You might buy footwear in fun colors or designs, to complement outfits or express your individuality.
The problem is that these shoes may not be the sort of thing you feel good wearing when it really counts. Some of the big moments in your life will require a pair of shoes that you are proud to wear. Adding a good handbag or clutch to match helps too. It’s really about making sure that you are prepared for all the events in your world.
Statement Jewelry
Statement jewelry should also be on your list. Adding a fun necklace, pair of earrings or bracelet will help you look more put-together. Whether you are wearing a little black dress or a simple t-shirt, statement accessories add visual interest and elevate simple pieces into something more. Think of it as a finishing touch that lets you inject some personality into your look.
A Variety of Scarves
Scarves help, too. From silk foulards to wool stoles, scarves are statement pieces that are made from fabric. You can wear them over a dress or as a complement to a suit, to keep you warm or add a pop of color to your winter coat.
The main advantage of wearing scarves is that they are more subtle than jewelry and often more practical for everyday situations.
Quality Beauty Tools
Finally, consider more than makeup brushes and jewelry. Any fashionista needs quality beauty tools as well. It doesn’t matter how expensive your hair care products or makeup are if your tools aren’t up to the challenge
Accouterment like a boar bristle hair brush or good quality makeup brushes can make a big difference in keeping your hair healthy and applying your makeup well.
If you wear eyelash extensions, you should also get practical products like glue for lash extensions and glue remover.
Every fashionista needs a few pieces she is proud to wear and others that add individuality to her look. Stylish women also need quality beauty tools and eyelash extensions.
These practical additions will help you make sure that you look your best every day.
