Just a few things you can do when you’re stuck inside.

Most people already know how to boost their immune systems for the long winter months, but do you know how to entertain yourself when you have to stay home?

If you’re bored and not quite sure what to do with yourself, check out the few ways below to entertain yourself when you’re stuck inside until further notice.

Sing and Dance

There is nothing like pulling out a modern turntable, putting on some records and dancing the night away to get your blood flowing. One of the biggest problems with being inside is not getting up and moving around.

Whether it’s slow dancing to a country album or rocking out to AC/DC, getting up and dancing and singing will go a long way towards relieving your boredom and getting some exercise as well.

Take an Online Class

Taking an online class is also a good idea when you’re stuck inside for the duration. Taking the time to learn something new or for personal development is a great way to pass the time and it’s productive as well.

Organize Your Space

There is nothing like a bunch of clutter to make you hate being indoors even more. Take the time that you’re cooped up to organize your space and redecorate your rooms.

Whether it’s decluttering or moving furniture around, you’ll feel better when the space is more organized and your boredom will be alleviated for a while as well.

Experiment in the Kitchen

If you have to be cooped up anyway, why not experiment in the kitchen? If you love to cook, there are many recipes online that you can try to sharpen your cooking skills or just to try something different.

Whether it’s baking or cooking, get the entire family involved and a good time will be had by all. From soups and stews to casseroles and cookies, there’s always a new recipe out there to try when you’re stuck at home.

Host a Fireside Camp Out

If you have a fireplace, then you already know winter is the perfect time to get it going. Host a fireside camp out for your family as something to do when the weather is too frightful to get outside.

Throwdown some comfy blankets and pillows, add a few snacks, some board games and books and you have an evening of fun for the entire family. This is also a terrific option if you’re without power because of a storm.

Have a Pajama Day in Bed

Who doesn’t love the idea of staying in their pajamas all day and not getting out of bed? For most people that doesn’t often happen, but if you’re stuck inside, why not?

So, get into your most comfy pajamas, get some snacks from the kitchen and crawl back under the covers with a good book, the remote and have a day of doing nothing but relaxing. After all, your time stuck inside isn’t going to last forever, so make the most of it while you can.

These are just a few things you can do when you’re stuck inside. Don’t let boredom get you down when there is so much that can be done to entertain yourself and your family.

We ask that every contributor and expert answer the Identity “Get All A’s” questions in keeping with our theme.

Their answers can be random and in the moment or they can be aligned with the current article they have written.

In that way, and as a team, we hope to encourage and motivate each other, thus inspiring you to Get All A’s.

1. What have you accepted within your life, physically and/or mentally? Additionally, what are you still working on accepting? Now, we’re talking about resignation, rather stepping into, embraced, and owned.

We’ve accepted all of your stories, tips, and expertise over the years. We accept all that comes with the challenges of running an online magazine.

2. What have you learned to appreciate about yourself and/or within your life, physically and mentally? On the other hand OR in contrast, are there elements of who you are that you’re still working on appreciating?

We appreciate all of our readers, writers, and collaborators. Without all of you, we wouldn’t exist today. Thank YOU!

3. What is one of your most rewarding achievements in life? Tell us not only what makes YOU most proud but also share the goals and dreams that you still have.

We are proud of Identity Magazine and the opportunity to support so many writers, authors, business owners, moms—WOMEN. Let’s all continue to Get All A’s.
