How To Feel Youthful and Boost Self-Esteem

How To Feel Youthful and Boost Self-Esteem
Written by Mia Morales

Aging may be a normal part of life, but few ever want to feel old. The good news is, that no matter your age there are many ways to boost your health and feel confident in your skin at the same time. If you’re looking for ways to feel more youthful, energized, and refreshed, here are a few things to consider.

Treat Yourself

Sometimes, nothing can make you feel better like treating yourself to something you’ve always wanted, or wanted to do. Whether it’s taking a small solo vacation, getting a dermal repair complex or buying yourself a new outfit, doing something just for you can be a big mood-booster, and that boost in mood can help give you a new outlook on life.

Eat a Health Boosting Diet

Although treating yourself can be beneficial, eating too many treats may not be. One way to feel younger and healthier is by eating a healthy, balanced diet. There can be many different kinds of diets that can help you feel more youthful, but if you’re not sure where to start when it comes to dieting, simply increasing your intake of fresh fruits and vegetables, while decreasing your intake of foods high in sugar and refined carbs can be a good place to start.

Work Out Regularly

Exercise can be a great way not only to help you feel more confident and get in better shape, but to also give you more energy and to boost skin and hair health, too. When you exercise regularly, whether you do it with more intense workouts like lifting weights, or more gentle ones like yoga, you help improve your circulation throughout your whole body.

This increased circulation can lead to more glowing skin, as well as faster-growing hair. Additionally, working out helps improve hormone balance, which can lead to an increase in happiness hormones, like serotonin, and a decrease in stress hormones, like cortisol.

Learn To De-Stress

Many may know that it’s no fun to be stressed, but they may not be aware of how much stress can affect their health and ability to feel energized. When you’re stressed, your body produces an increased amount of stress hormones like adrenaline and cortisol, which can throw all of your other hormones off balance and ultimately wreak havoc on your health.

While it may not always be possible to avoid stress altogether, taking time to combat stress when you’re feeling frazzled can go a long way towards feeling more youthful. Also, the good news is that there can be many effective ways to destress, from deep breathing exercises to pursuing a hobby like journaling or gardening.

The Bottom Line

It may be normal to age, but most don’t ever want to feel older. The reality is, though, that for many, age is just a number and it can be easy to feel youthful and full of energy no matter how old you are.

So, although there’s nothing that can be done about the passage of time, there can be many ways to feel your best. Whether you do it through taking care of yourself with proper exercise and diet, or by curbing your stress and giving yourself a break, there can be many ways to feel youthful for years to come.

Their answers can be random and in the moment or they can be aligned with the current article they have written. As a team, we hope to encourage and motivate each other, thus inspiring you to Get All A’s.

1. What have you accepted within your life, physically and/or mentally? Additionally, what are you still working on accepting? Now, we’re not talking about resignation, rather stepping into, embraced, and owned.

I have accepted that I will never find the perfect balance as a mom, and no matter how others perceive me as a working mom, both being a mom and a professional help me to progress as a woman.

2. Appreciation is everything. What have you learned to appreciate about yourself and/or within your life, physically and mentally? On the other hand OR in contrast, are there elements of who you are that you’re still working on appreciating?

I’m grateful for the resilience that my trials have instilled in me. As hard as my trials have been they have helped me empathize with others more and to become a better person.

3. Share with us one of your most rewarding achievements in life? Tell us not only what makes YOU most proud but also share the goals and dreams that you still have.

Becoming a mother and feeling the love of my children has been the most rewarding experience of my life. That love coupled with a desire to maintain their love and respect is one of my biggest motivators in life.
