CYLCYA features the “Get All A’s in the Game of Life” quote book series:

In Get All A’s in the Game of Life: Entrepreneur Edition, Susan Vernicek shares words of wisdom from a diverse group of women entrepreneurs for the purpose of nurturing and motivating readers to move forward. This book of quotes and other useful tidbits are a source of fuel and comfort: a wellspring that female entrepreneurs can draw upon over and over.

According to Susan, this book was conceived as a tailored tool to help readers optimize their experience as a business owner and master multi-tasker, with lessons learned and paths taken by none other than fellow female entrepreneurs.’

On why she wrote the book:

After years of coaching and speaking around the US, I wanted to reach more entrepreneurs with my signature “A-game” formula. I also wanted to create a space for collaborations and celebration among women entrepreneurs—because when we stick together, we are unstoppable.

On the biggest lesson she learned:

That there is no one path to success and that the sooner you lean into your dreams with humor, fun, compassion, and the willingness, nothing can stop you.

On what entrepreneurs can do to stay motivated:

Practice self-acceptance. When I teach this first step in the Get All A’s formula, it can seem harsh, however, it removes the BS we inflict on ourselves. When we want to achieve as an entrepreneur, the moment you accept, embrace, and own the responsibility to show up, do the work, and make the effort, you gain all the power. When you have that moment realizing that you have the power to make the next choice, move and opportunity, it’s energizing, motivating and invigorating. You get to choose motivation any minute of the day.

On the words that have impacted her career the most:

“Go at your own pace and you’ll win your race”. This is a message that has kept me from quitting and has kept me out of the comparison game. I’m proud that I have over 13 years of experience living and succeeding as an entrepreneur. It’s truly because I stayed in my lane with patience.

On the takeaway from the book:

That you’re not alone and all the feels and emotions are real and Okay. I want the readers to know that they don’t have to be a “super human” to succeed as an entrepreneur. This book offers validation, support, wisdom, and inspiration whenever it’s needed.
