I remember when I thought the nail salon was just self-care, but with time and the growth mindset I breathe daily…that has evolved.
Every so often, I sit down and jot down all the things I consider to be self-care. What are the activities, why, and how do they make me feel?
I had to build my trust and relationship with self-care so that I wouldn’t neglect it. I had to nurture it just like the plants I need to water each day.
Here are some of the things I consider to be my best self-care tips and practices:
Family Time: Friday night traditions, snowboarding, golfing, vacations, movie nights, it’s self-care.
My mind/brain: It steers it all. I practice mastering managing my brain and new beliefs for continued growth.
Food: The food I eat heals me. Food is my medicine.
Water: Keeps me hydrated, energized, and focused.
Sleep: Melts my worries aways and allows my muscles and brain to recharge.
Nature: I love stepping out for fresh air as it infuses abundance into my soul.
Sex: Do I need to say why?
Talking: Conversation with friends or my husband is self-care for my relationships.
Hair Salon: The feeling after a fresh cut is so freeing. I always feel like a new woman and that’s energizing.
Coffee: It brings a sense of comfort that I love every morning.
Fitness: Keeps my mental health in check! LOL. I release all my unnecessary energy and stress.
Writing: This allows me to process my thoughts, emotions, and ideas.
Dancing: Gives me the ultimate feeling of feeling young and free.
These are JUST A FEW of mine.
LIFE is self-care. What if you were to think this more often?
