I kissed this man a little longer this morning as I said goodbye…
Time flies when you’re having fun, but also when times are difficult.
It’s been 14 years of navigating a relationship with a committed, collegiate, D2 head coach. It started with one team and then the time of giving birth to our twins, he was the head coach for both the men and the women.
How to Manage the Mompreneur Life Being a Head Coach’s Wife
I had no clue about the emotional rollercoaster I was about to go on as a new mom of twins, healing, continuing to keep my business running—all while knowing I was going to be alone for a few months with pockets of seeing my husband.
I thought, “What about me, my goals, and can I really keep these two kids healthy and safe?”
Many of us get tested with our own obstacles and this was another one on my journey.
I sit here and laugh at all the BS and I wish I could share it all—because we made it and there were times I thought we wouldn’t make it.
For a short time, I experienced:
Anxiety/Panic Attacks
Questioning our marriage
Loneliness
I played the victim—again…
Until I remembered what I taught for a living—my A-Game formula.
I was in physical pain from ignoring my back programs with the double-duty crib and pack-and-play gig.
I mattered too.
Moms matter too.
My mental health, my physical health, my passions—it mattered too.
I have the power if I accept it.
So, I got out of the rabbit hole and started to play my A-Game and this tool saves me every season.

His next season started again.
Here we go again, but wiser and more connected than ever.
First, I had to grow up and communicate over the years. Secondly, I had to stop assuming he knew I needed him to take the garbage bags out. I also had to stop wishing he’d text and check in more and take the lead myself to text him, to say I love and miss you. And I sent him tons of pictures of the kids so he didn’t miss anything.
Real Life
Obstacles happen.
Problems and struggles exist.
Emotions are real
Loneliness is raw
But I—and you can be the solution and most often it’s communication.
You have as much access to happiness and success as I and the rest of the world does.
Go out and live your best, healthiest, and most successful life.
Whether you’re married, single, home alone often with a working spouse—whatever your status is—if you’re not happy, if you’re not where you want to be, you can get there anytime and at any age.
Go ahead and start.
My Mindset + Achieve™ course and coaching program is open if you’d like to be part of it and start with me 😉 I’m always rooting for you.
xoxo,
The Head Coach’s Wife and Your Mindset + Achieve™ Coach,
