Donina Ifurung is an event design and planning ace who designs and plans corporate meetings and events.
As the founder and director of On High Heels Events, Donina found a useful niche for her uncanny ability to shuffle you out of your meeting onto the bus headed for the group dinner (logistics), making sure that the linens are even on both sides of the table (eye for details) and timing suppliers and vendors so that participants walk into an event thinking that elves put it together (organization).
She has a diverse entertainment background, having once gone toe-to-toe in contract negotiations with Neil Diamond’s attorney. When she worked at Warner Bros. she accidentally walked onto the set of Gilmore Girls (while they were filming background shots), and had an amazing chance meeting with George Clooney. She also has PR under her belt, having garnered print placement for multi-Grammy winning producer, Kuk Harrell at the early stages of his mainstream career.
But her “discovery” of meeting and event planning is what solidified her career direction. A temp job with a boss who was willing to totally immerse her in and teach her the world of meeting planning and special events triggered what she believes is her career calling and business purpose.
Her favorite type of event is when she plans and designs launches and activations for small women-owned businesses and female entrepreneurs who want visibility for their products or brand. Her goal is make her event clients look like rockstar hosts, take away the "stresses" and time it takes to plan events, and let them go about with their duties as CEO and/or leaders of their organizations or business.
When she’s not planning or designing, you can find her wandering a bookstore or library, or shopping for shoes. She’s into fitness, but is also a huge foodie. She loves to travel, and has too many blank spaces in her passport. She adores her Hawaiian nephews and thinks Boxer dogs are the BEST.
